Woman held on $10,000 bail for fentanyl trafficking in Wareham

On Thursday, February, 21, at 4:30 p.m. detectives of the Wareham Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in West Wareham. As a result of a search and brief investigation, Jodi Smith, 33, of no certain address, was arrested with a quantity of suspected fentanyl in her possession. Ms. Smith is charged with the following.

• Trafficking of a Class A substance (fentanyl) – 2 counts
• Distributing a Class A substance (fentanyl)
• Possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (fentanyl)

She was held overnight at Wareham Police headquarters on $10,000 cash bail and transported to Wareham District Court on Friday morning for arraignment.
