Taunton Man Charged with 5th OUI Offense

Michael F. Hackett, 47, of Taunton was found to have a revoked Massachusetts drivers license.

Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Trooper Russell Patenaude of the State Police Barracks in Bourne stopped a 2004 Nissan Xterra on Glenn Charlie Road in Wareham for a motor vehicle violation. After conversation with the driver and a brief investigation, the driver was placed under arrest.

The driver was identified by his Massachusetts “ID only” as MICHAEL F. HACKETT, 47, of Taunton. HACKETT was found to have a revoked Massachusetts drivers license. HACKETT and his passenger also had several open containers of alcohol within the vehicle. HACKETT was brought to the Bourne Barracks for booking. Bail was set at $1,040 pending his arraignment in Wareham District Court.

OUI Liquor, 5th Offense
Possession of Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle
Negligent Operation
Operating Motor Vehicle with Revoked License
Speeding
