Sunrise Bakery robbed by an armed, masked man on Tuesday

Police are investigating an apparent armed robbery at Sunrise Bakery, 508 Bolton St., Tuesday afternoon.

A witness told police a male entered the business, displayed what appeared to be a handgun and took an undetermined amount of cash. He fled the establishment on foot, walking east on Rockland Street.

The suspect was described as a young thin male, with medium complexion, wearing dark pants and sneakers, a black jacket with a grey hooded sweatshirt and a dark turtleneck which was pulled over his face.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which was reported at 4:54 p.m.
