“At approximately 1pm yesterday afternoon the Rochester Fire Department received a call for a 4 car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Braley Hill Rd and North Avenue.

Engines 192, 193 and Tanker 198 responded along with Rescue 207. Rescue 208 was backfilled with call back staff and also responded with 2 Paramedics. First on scene responders reported heavy damage to the vehicles and possibly 6 patients who needed to be assessed. Mutual

Aid ambulances were requested from Acushnet FD and Lakeville FD.

Two patients required hospital transport, 1 to Tobey Hospital by Rochester and 1 to St Luke’s Hospital by Acushnet FD, both with non-life threatening injuries. All of the occupants reported to have been wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. As you can see from the extent and serious damage to the vehicles the potential for injury to the occupants was high. Seatbelt use minimizes traumatic injury and saves lives.”-Rochester Fire Department.
