New Bedford Police Charge Acushnet Mother With Reckless Endangerment Of Child

New Bedford Police will charge a 20-year-old Acushnet, Massachusetts woman today with Reckless Endangerment of a Child Under the Age of 18.

The charge against Breanna McGrath follows an investigation by police prompted by a Facebook video post. The video showed McGrath’s vehicle parked at the Gas Express located at Tarklin Hill Road and Belleville Avenue while she was inside the convenience store on Thursday September 1st sometime in the afternoon.

The video showed a young child left alone in McGrath’s car for a period of time while the vehicle was unlocked and the engine running. The Massachusetts Department of Child and Family Services have been notified and is expected to conduct a separate investigation into the incident.
