A 31-year-old New Bedford man was charged with OUI drugs, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and negligent operation of a motor vehicle after an accident Sunday near Route 18 and Potomska Street.
John Leighton, 31, of 425 Brock Ave. Apt. 2, was charged after the vehicle he was driving struck the rear of a vehicle in front of him. When medics arrived on the scene, they administered Narcan to Leighton, who was then transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported in the accident, which happened at 11:50 p.m.
