The Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum (RJD) presents its third annual Pumpkin Parade event on the historic grounds of the Museum, Thursday, October 15, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The public is invited to visit the grounds of the RJD to see a display of Jack-O-Lanterns carved with care by community members. Carved pumpkins are displayed throughout the garden, and especially along the winding “woodland walk”.

The historic mansion will be open at limited capacity due to safety precautions in place during the pandemic. Inside, children can participate in a scavenger hunt and pick up a treat. Costumes are encouraged at this family-friendly event. While the event is free, a donation of any amount is welcome.

About Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum
The historic house now occupied by the Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum was built in 1834 for whaling merchant William Rotch Jr. This Greek Revival mansion, located on a full city block of formal gardens, is a national historic landmark, one of only 2,500 currently listed in the nation.

The period rooms of the house chronicle 150 years of the economic and social evolution of the City of New Bedford, as reflected in the residencies of the Rotch, Jones, and Duff families. The Museum is located at 396 County Street. It is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults; $6 for AAA members, seniors and students; and $3 for children (age 7 – 17). The Museum is free for RJD members, and EBT or ConnectorCare card-holders.
