At approximately 8:00pm, Friday night, the New Bedford Police Department received several reports of “shots fired” in the city’s North End.

Upon arrival to Worcester Street not far from the Burger King and railroad tracks, police officers and New Bedford EMS discovered one adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

It is early in the investigation so at this point police are unsure what led up to the shooting.
