On June 1, New Bedford Narcotics and Gang detectives seized a loaded gun, bullets, a small amount of crack cocaine and a small amount of cash in a vehicle stopped at Rte. 18 N. and Elm St.
As a result of the incident, Jasaiah Velmont, 19, Brockton, was charged with firearms and drug offenses. Detective Nathaniel Almeida investigated the case.
