New Bedford man arrested with two semi-automatic handguns, half pound of marijuana

Last night at approximately 6:30pm members of the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau executed a search warrant at 7 Hazard Court. This was the result of a drug distribution service being operated out of the home. The warrant was obtained by Det. Kevin Barbosa.

The target of the warrant was taken into custody without incident as he drove away from his residence. As a result of the search, the following was seized;

• Half pound of marijuana
• $8,645 in cash
• A Kel-Tec .380 semi-automatic handgun loaded with 6 rounds of ammunition
• A Bryco Arms .380 semi-automatic handgun loaded with 5 rounds of ammunition
• Digital scales and packaging materials

The subject of the warrant does not possess a license to carry firearms.

Scheduled to be arraigned this morning in New Bedford district court of various firearm and drug charges; Reginald Sadm age 23 of New Bedford.
