Mattapoisett Fire Rescue respond to injured horse call at local farm

“This morning Chief 1, Engine 1, Rescue 1, and Unit 1 responded to a farm on Acushnet Road for an injured horse.

The Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team was requested and responded with their large animal rescue team. The horse weighed approximately 1,200lbs.

The horse was safely removed from his stall and uprighted, preventing any further injuries.” -Mattapoisett Fire Rescue.
