image_pdfimage_print

“On Tuesday afternoon our firefighters were dispatched to Ned’s Point Road for a reported attic fire. Chief 1 arrived on scene first and confirmed heavy fire/smoke on the 3rd floor of the home. Crews made a very aggressive attack on the fire and contained the fire to one area of the over 9,000sq ft home.

Mutual aid was requested to the scene from Marion Fire/EMS, Rochester Fire Department, and Fairhaven Fire-EMS. Acushnet Fire & EMS Department provided station coverage while our apparatus were committed on scene.

NOTE: Even though you see the fire coming through the roof and windows, our firefighters are still inside the structure making a very aggressive attack. This prevented the fire from spreading throughout the house.

Thank you to Ed Pepin, Photographer from Fairhaven Fire-EMS for providing us with these photos.”-Mattapoisett Fire Rescue.
