Man Pepper Sprays Pregnant Woman, Attempts to Rob Her

Fall River Police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a male that is wanted for assaulting a 22-year-old pregnant female with pepper spray and attempted to rob her.

The incident took place on Monday at approximately 3:50 p.m. The victim left an ATM at the Bank of  America 10 North Main St. where she withdrew money and was walking home along Durfee St. She stated to police that a male approached her demanding her money. She was able to push him away but was then sprayed with a chemical believed to be pepper spray. She also stated that she noticed this male was at the ATM earlier while she was conducting a transaction. She was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital to be treated for coming into contact with pepper spray. The suspect was not able to obtain any money from the victim.
