The New Bedford Police narcotics unit arrested four more drug dealers Tuesday evening on Tallman St., the site of a previous drug bust less than two weeks ago. Police seized just over 10 grams of cocaine and over $1,500.00 in cash in last night’s raid.
The four individuals were arrested after Officer Jorge Santos initiated an investigation into drug activity at the house. As a result of Officer Santos’ investigation, he confronted four people who were found to be dealing drugs from the rear hallway of the apartment building.
Two of the suspects arrested Tuesday were also arrested when the house was raided Feb. 14. As a result of that raid, crack cocaine, pills, Suboxone strips, marijuana, packaging materials and over $400 in cash were seized.
• Trequalis McKoy, 22, was charged Tuesday with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
• McKoy was also arrested at the same location Feb. 14 for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, trespassing and possession of Suboxone strips.
• Jordan Rivera, 22, of Tallman St, New Bedford, was charged Tuesday with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
On Feb. 14, Rivera was also arrested during a raid at the same location. He was charged with trespassing, two warrant arrests, possession of cocaine, possession of Suboxone strips and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
McKoy and Rivera were both released without bail after the Feb. 14 arrest by Judge Robert Ovoian with the stipulation that they could be held without bail if they re-offended, which they did.
McKoy and Rivera are now being held without bail for 90 days after the Feb. 27 arrests They will be held without bail for 90 days and, after that period, their bail will be set at $1,000.00.
Two other individuals were also arrested Tuesday night. They are:
• Issac Rivera, 21, of 318A Smith St., New Bedford, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws and a warrant arrest.
• Samuel Schwartz, 25, of 4668 Prices Circle, Fayetteville, N.C., was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
