FEMA and DCR to Host Informational Meeting for New Bedford Area Communities on FEMA’s Flood Insurance Rate Maps

April 22nd from 4:00- 8:00PM at the Fort Taber Community Center

The City of New Bedford and the Towns of Acushnet, Dartmouth and Fairhaven are encouraging residents and property owners to attend an informational session regarding the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) on April 22nd from 4:00- 8:00PM at the Fort Taber Community Center.

FEMA and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will conduct a map review session for residents and property owners at the meeting. Representatives from the state Flood Hazard Management Program will also be in attendance. The informational session will be “open house” style and no appointments are required.
