“***STABBING INVESTIGATION***
New Bedford Police responded to a reported stabbing incident near Linden and Summer streets at approximately 9:45pm last night.
At least 6 cruisers and an ambulance were on scene. Residents were asked to stay away from the area as patrol officers and detectives investigated a stabbing incident.
Preliminary investigation suggests that one person stabbed in the back 5 times on Linden Street before staggering a few blocks before he was discovered and transferred to St. Luke’s Hospital.
The injuries to the victim are not thought to be life threatening.” -City of New Bedford Police Department.
