Three families have been displaced and a family dog was killed in an early morning fire on Chancery Street in New Bedford.
A fire broke out at 1:15 am at a multi-family building on 299 Chancery Street in New Bedford. The fire started on the first floor and took New Bedford Fire Department fire fighters two hours to bring the fire under control. Unfortunately the fire took the life of a family dog. Firefighters did everything they could to save the pup. American Red Cross has stepped in to help the three families that have been displaced.
