Dartmouth Police Department receive special “Search and Rescue” training

“Today, members of the SEMLEC Search and Rescue team are training at Harry Reynolds Park in Dartmouth.

As part of their training, they will be using metal detectors to recover items placed in the woods by team members. The SEMLEC (Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council) Search and Rescue team is a mutual aid consortium comprised of resources from the police departments of 30 cities and towns.

They respond when requested by a chief of police to assist with search and rescue, special events, or major crimes.”-Dartmouth Police Department.
