At-Large City Councillor Coelho is asking the Police Department to increase surveillance cameras throughout the City streets. Here’s the written motion to be presented Thursday, June 8, 2017:
18. WRITTEN MOTION, Councillor Coelho, requesting, that the Police Department look into the possibility of increasing the installation and use of surveillance cameras throughout the City streets and neighborhoods, concentrating on the hot spots of high crime incidents. (To be Referred to the Police Chief, the Mayor and the Committee on Public Safety and Neighborhoods.)
Well I know it’s a waste of cash an time I live in a hot spot an know for a fact the police get distracted because the camera’s on holy, tallman, and Bullard only face east to Riverside park. So it misses all the crime
cameras are a lot cheaper & faster than hiring & training more police cadets.. install more of them!
