BREAKING: Shooting in New Bedford leaves one man hospitalized

New Bedford, MA – The New Bedford Police Department responded to a shooting incident this evening, February 26th, at approximately 6:00 PM in the area of Austin St. and Cedar St. The response was prompted by a ShotSpotter activation, indicating the discharge of a firearm.

Shortly after the incident, an adult male victim arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. The New Bedford Police Department has not released further details about the victim’s identity or the specific nature of the injuries.
