“At approximately 6:54pm on Sunday, July 7th, Units and personnel from the Acushnet Fire & EMS Dept and Acushnet Police Department responded to the area of Keene Rd for a reported ATV accident!
Upon arrival Rescues 1 and 2 tended to 2 juvenile patients with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries! One of the juveniles was transported by ground to Hasbro Children’s hospital in Providence, and the other was transported by Boston MedFlight from the rear of Ford Middle School (also to Hasbro in Providence).
We would like wish a speedy recovery to those involved!
We would also like to remind everyone to use all appropriate safety equipment and ensure that operators have the proper training and operate the equipment in a safe manner!
Shortly after this call, while our ambulances were still out of service, an additional medical emergency occurred!
