A 57 year old New Bedford man died Tuesday evening of an apparent drug overdose.
At approximately 6:40pm, police and medics responded to the main library on Pleasant Street with regards to an unresponsive male in the rest room. Male was located and medical assistance was given which included several doses of narcan. Male was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased at 7:20 pm.
A second overdose occurred on Myrtle Street in New Bedford at 7:01pm.
