FREE Guided Bird Walk ( (8:00am-10:00am)
Grab your binoculars and join our birding experts out on the trails for Sunday Bird Walks at Norman Bird Sanctuary. In the serene natural landscape at NBS, you will count up as many bird species as you can while also keeping an eye out for non-flying wildlife. No registration required, meet in the parking lot at 8 a.m. Norman Bird Sanctuary, 583 3rd Beach Rd., Middletown, RI.

4th Annual Scarecrow Festival (12:00pm-2:00pm)
Create your own scarecrow and be a part of the Fall festivities along Main Street and Onset Ave! Register your Scarecrow in one of the following categories: Business, Club/Organization (including classrooms and school groups), or Families/Individuals. Judging will be conducted by members of the community on October 28. Call the OBA for more info 508-295-7072.

OktoberFesta! 1st Annual Boars & Brews Challenge (4:00pm-11:00pm)
Join us for OktoberFesta! Our 1st Annual Boars & Brews Challenge. For the month of October we challenge you to consume 26 beers & 5 signature pork dishes. Sign up begins on October 1st. For completing the Boars & Brews Challenge you will receive: Personalized T-Shirt, 2017 Boars & Brews Mug, Cask & Pig Beer Club Card (valid for 1 year),.Your name registered to win many other prizes including: Patriots, Celtics & Bruins Tickets. Boo at the Zoo (6:00pm-9:00pm)
Slightly spooky fun that cannot be missed! Grab your favorite costume and join us at BOO AT THE ZOO for an evening of Halloween fun! There’s enough thrills and chills for all ages at BOO AT THE ZOO! Climb aboard a spoooooky train ride, stroll down the Trick or Treat trail, take a spin on our wild carousel, and enjoy Halloween themed activities plus animal encounters! Save time getting into BOO AT THE ZOO by purchasing a Bat Pass. A Bat Pass is a single use, non-refundable pass and must be surrendered at the separate Bat Pass entrance upon your visit. Zoo Members: $11/adult and $7/child. Non-Members: $16/adult and $12/child. Rides are included in the price of admission. Children under 3 are free.
