New Bedford men, Dartmouth man arrested by Massachusetts State Police, Fairhaven, Dartmouth task force

“DARTMOUTH, MA – On Thursday, May 2, 2024, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Detectives assigned to the Special Operations Division of the Dartmouth Police Department, with the assistance of Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to the Bristol County State Police Detective Unit, and Detectives assigned to the Fairhaven Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence on Gibson Terrace in Dartmouth.

During their search, detectives located approximately fifty-five (55) grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately fifty (50) grams of suspected powder cocaine, and a digital scale. In addition, $1,255 in U.S. currency was seized.

As a result of the findings associated with the search, Dartmouth Police arrested Nicholas AZEREDO, 40, of Dartmouth. AZEREDO is being charged with trafficking cocaine in excess of one hundred (100) grams and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug (subsequent offense).

In addition, Edmund MELO, 30, and Joshua BAGAO, 48, both of New Bedford, were arrested on scene regarding outstanding warrants.
