Nova Scotia wildfire smoke and haze expected to stick around Massachusetts for a few days

“The answer is yes!!! It was smokey out yesterday. Fire department members fielded questions throughout the day about the source of the smokey, haze and scent of fire.

The source of the haze is a raging wildfire in Nova Scotia, Canada and a southerly wind is carrying the smoke plume through the jet stream right through our community. The experts say that the haze and smell of smoke may stick around for a couple more days before it is expected to dissipate.

As of last evening the wildfire is still less than 10% contained. Please keep our brother and sister firefighters and the community of Nova Scotia in your thoughts and prayers.”-Rochester Fire Department.
