New Bedford Police respond to unconscious driver after overdose

On 10.26.21 at approximately 3pm, responded to a call for a male overdosing in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the area of Hall St./Rivet St.

The male was located, removed from the vehicle, and emergency aid procedures were initiated. As the male awoke, he became aggressive. He threatened officers on scene and became combative.

He was eventually taken to the hospital to be further evaluated. The male was identified as RAANDALL PEMBERTON JR., 26 of Rivet St. He is being charged with OUI drugs, Disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest.
