Lakeville Fire Department responds to multiple weather-related crashes on Route 140 during storm

“Series of weather-related crashes on Route 140.

The first call came in just after 10 am this morning for a crash on the northside of the highway, just south of County Street.

There were 4 more crashes soon after, with one occurring in close proximity to the first crash. Freetown Fire Department handled one of these crashes.

Lakeville PD responded to the highway to provide coverage; State Police units were unavailable due to numerous other accidents.

One patient, from an overturned box truck, was transported to St Luke’s Hospital. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.”-Lakeville, MA Fire Department.
