GLCPS’ commencement exercises for the graduating class of 2014 on June 1

The Global Learning Charter Public School (GLCPS) is pleased to announce its seventh commencement which will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014. The Class of 2014 is made up of 20 seniors, ten of whom have been awarded the John and Abigail Adams scholarship as a result of scoring “Advanced” on both the English and math MCAS tests. A reception with refreshments will follow the ceremony. The Honorable Mayor Jonathan F. Mitchell of New Bedford will join the festivities and share remarks, which will be followed by the commencement address given by Peter Pereira, award winning photojournalist at the Standard Times. Senior John Morgan, class valedictorian, will also offer remarks.
