State Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Seekonk

On January 16th, at approximately 6:10 p.m., troopers from the State Police Barracks in Dartmouth responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 195 Eastbound at the 2.6 mile-marker in Seekonk. Upon arrival, troopers discovered a 2003 Dodge pickup had been traveling eastbound and for reasons still under investigation, exited the left lane into the median.

The man driving, who was later identified as CHAD L. JACKVONY, 26, of Lincoln Rhode Island, was determined to be deceased as a result of injuries sustained from the crash.

The left travel lane was closed during the incident and remained closed for the reconstruction of the crash. The remaining facts and circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation by troopers from the Dartmouth Barracks. Troop D Headquarters, State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section (CARS), State Police Crime Scene Services Section (CSSS), Seekonk Police and Fire, State Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (Mass DOT), all assisted on scene.
