“On January 1, 2022, at around 3:15 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Tarkiln Hill Road and Conduit Street. The driver, identified as Tiago Cabral, 22, of Dartmouth, had struck a utility pole.
While talking to Cabral, officers learned he had been looking down at his phone and lost control of his vehicle and detected he had been drinking.
He was arrested and charged with negligent operation and injury from cell phone use and an OUI.”
