Dartmouth town officials were recently notified of two COVID-19 related deaths. This marks the first two deaths in Dartmouth. Though both of the decedents were listed in High-Risk categories, their names, ages, and genders will not be disclosed out of respect to their individual families.
Mayor Mitchell also reported New Bedford’s first two COVID-19 related deaths on Wednesday.

On April 9, the Massachusetts Public Health Department reported that the state added 2,151 more positive cases of COVID-19 bringing to total to 15,202. This is an increase over Wednesday’s 1,588 reported cases. 70 new COVID-19 related deaths were reported since yesterday bringing the total deaths in Massachusetts to 503. Full details here.
