Earlier this month A Troop Headquarters had a sendoff for Lieutenant Steven Mullaney, who is retiring after 27 years of service with the Massachusetts State Police. Lt Mullaney graduated from the State Police Academy in October 1993 as a member of the 71st Recruit Training Troop.

During his career he was assigned to Troop C, General Headquarters, and Troop A. In addition, Lt Mullaney was a drill instructor at the academy for several RTT’s. His last assignment was the Troop A operations officer. All of us in Troop A, and the Massachusetts State Police as a whole, will sorely miss him.
