ICE places detainer on Uber driver accused of rape in Boston

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer in DAUDAH MAYANJA, 37, of Waltham, the man charged with raping a woman in his vehicle on the Esplanade. Additionally, MAYANJA’s bail was increased to $100,000. He is a Ugandan citizen. He remains held by Massachusetts State Police and will be arraigned tomorrow in Boston Municipal Court.
