FREE Open Farm Day at Round The Bend Farm (Dartmouth) (10:00am-5:00pm)
A great time to visit the farm, meet the team, purchase farm products from RTB and other local farmers, and be embraced by a like-minded community that is striving to create resilient communities for all to enjoy. Always free and open to the public!

FREE Stargazing at The Bogs (Mattapoisett) (8:00pm-9:30pm)
Join the Astronomical Society of Southern New England and the Buzzards Bay Coalition for a stargazing walk at The Bogs. Far away from the city lights, the 500-acre Mattapoisett River Reserve offers visitors a dark, expansive sky to view the stars. As you gaze through telescopes at the wonders of deep space, you’ll look for planets, constellations and galaxies. Please dress warmly in multiple layers and bring a flashlight. Telescopes will be provided. The Bogs, 138 Acushnet Road, Mattapoisett.

3rd Annual Viva Portugal! 2018 (1:00-7:00pmpm)
The third annual Viva Portugal! festa harnesses the power of The Z and 13 local Portuguese-American organizations for an event that lauds the culture and heritage of so many in our community. Four downtown New Bedford blocks will be filled with the sights, sounds and flavors Portugal, including lectures on the contributions of Portuguese-Americans, readings, live music, cooking demos, folkloric dance and more. Don’t miss the free festa that’s fun for the whole family!

Paskamansett Concert Series at the Dartmouth Grange: “The Rosewood Trio” (7:00-9:00pmpm)

Sunday Morning Family Walk in the Woods “Loving God’s Creation” (Mattapoisett) (10:00am-11:00am)
The Mattapoisett Congregational Church Sunday School and Mattapoisett Land Trust will lead a spiritual walk for children and their parents to explore emerging Spring beauty, the importance of salt marshes, local history and ways to be Stewards of the Earth.

19th Annual Petfest!
It is an easy walk, on an unpaved road, wide and flat, to a beautiful cove and the “healthiest waterway on Buzzard’s Bay’s western shore”. We will walk on one the oldest roads in town-originally an oxcart road and property once owned by THE John Hancock. Munn Preserve, 189 Mattapoisett Neck Rd., Mattapoisett.

19th Annual Pet Fest and Walk for Animals (10:00am–3:00pm)
The Coalition for Animals of Greater New Bedford will be having its 19th Annual Pet Fest and Walk for Animals at Buttonwood Park (next to Lawler Library, 745 Rockdale Ave) in New Bedford from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm, rain or shine. It’s a fun-filled day for people and their companion animals to come and join us for a 2-mile walk around beautiful Buttonwood Park as well as see lots of entertainment! Animal lovers without dogs are also welcome!
