10th Annual Slocum Challenge Regatta Saturday, September 19, 2015

It’s time to register for the 10th running of the Slocum Challenge Regatta! Held on Saturday, September 19, and sponsored by the Lloyd Center for the Environment, the regatta is open to racing shells, open-water shells, kayaks, canoes, surf-skis, traditional rowing boats, whaleboats, pilot gigs, and stand-up paddleboards, with separate age-categories for competitors under 20, over 50, and over 65, all in Men’s, Women’s and “Mixed” (co-ed) divisions.

As always, the emphasis of the regatta is on good fun and enjoyment of the scenic Slocum River. A light post-race lunch will be provided at the Awards Ceremony, immediately following the races at the Lloyd Center’s headquarters (430 Potomska Road, Dartmouth).

For guaranteed acceptance, Entry Applications (attached or available for download at www.lloydcenter.org and the Lloyd Center’s Visitor Center), must be received no later than 5pm on MONDAY, September 14 (25% surcharge for entries received after 5pm, September 14).

No entry will be accepted after 4pm on WEDNESDAY, September 16 so please plan accordingly.
Order and starting-times of all races will be finalized after 4pm on Thursday, September 17 and posted online at www.lloydcenter.org on Friday, September 18.

Entry fees are $30 per entry, plus $10 per competitor and are not refundable. Entries may be mailed to the Lloyd Center, 430 Potomska Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02748, faxed to 508-993-7868 or emailed to fcallen@lloydcenter.org.
